Halfway Day
Tuesday, June 15th, 2010Happy Halfway Day to me! I have spent half of my life inside Mommy’s belly and half of it out! (We’re not counting by the date.) Now since I am out of the belly, I do raspberries on it instead, and sometimes try to get milk out of it. I have yet to taste any, but I know it MUST come from that hole!
8 months!
Thursday, May 20th, 20108 months is so much fun! Patrick has FINALLY doing tricks like some of his friends. He started copying things in an obvious way very recently (all in a rush it seems!), like dancing (pretty much the cutest thing EVER and I love it!), cheering “yaaaaaay,” and smacking his lips. (I think they are supposed to be kisses?) He cracks me up! He also says “mamamamamama” a lot but doesn’t really associate it with me (and only a few times has repeated it after me). He also seems to be making the sign for “puppy,” which we have been teaching him for a few months, and “milk,” which we have NOT really been teaching him until recently. But the “milk” sign kinda came along on its own, and while Matt thinks he means “I want milk,” I’m not so convinced. So we’re just trying to repeat the sign back to him when he does it, then offer milk (well, Matt doesn’t, but I do, lol).
And I think we have more teeth coming this week. He already has six and has been popping out sets of teeth each month since six months. He also seems to like everything in the solid foods department — or at least likes it enough to keep eating it. A bit of wasabi with our dinner from HuHot and hothot jalapenos were pretty funny because Patrick made a huge pouty face and turned really red….but he did not spit them out! This makes me glad….I can’t stand picky eating; it is one of my biggest pet peeves with kids, so I hope he will be adventurous in his food choices later on, because we like to try a lot of new foods too!

Just look at that…caps lock, shift, and he even “saved as.” He even tried to open a new document, but I told him that was enough for now.
Looking Back

We decided that we need to make more videos of my because I’ve learned to do several things that haven’t been featured here yet. I think I should post them, because even if you don’t want to see them, I know my Grandma’s will want to.

Brooke and Patrick, sittin’ in a tree….
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009Ok, no trees or kissing went on other than us kissing our babies. We visited Lindsey and Brooke, who was born about 25 days before Patrick. She is a cutie! And she’s the only baby I’ve seen with more hair than mine. We gave them belly time and they talked…mostly Patrick talked…and I think he was checking her out…. But it was so nice to spend time with Lindsey because I haven’t seen her in forever! I don’t have many baby momma friends (of people I’ve known for more than a year, that is), so we will have to do that again!
So Patrick is definitely interested in other babies now! The other day I put him in front of a mirror and he made eye contact with the other baby and smiled. I wonder what he thinks about seeing two Mommies at once, though – one holding him and one next to him!

Saturday, November 21st, 2009I went with Mommy on two photo shoots today! I got to sit in a vibrating seat and watch some musical toys light up in front of me. I wanted to touch it but I didn’t know how to make my hands do that. So then I watched Mommy walk around the room. She’s really nice. I also talked with Brooklyn for a little while at the end. She is pretty cute! Mommy thinks I’m a flirt, though, since I won’t talk to Branch (he’s a boy).

Saturday, November 14th, 2009This was from a few weeks ago & we forgot to upload it. One of these days we’ll get him on video doing his cute smiles that he’s been flashing at us! But we’re just enjoying them when he does them and not worrying about grabbing the camera. That might surprise some people, but as much as I like taking pictures, I don’t want to miss things while I’m looking through a lens and trying to expose and compose something properly.
